    Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai

Gansbaai is one of South Africa's best-known shark cage diving destinations, with trips departing from Kleinbaai near the famous Dyer Island ecosystem and Shark Alley. This area has a long history of shark research, conservation, eco-tourism and marine wildlife experiences.

A shark cage diving trip allows guests to view sharks from the safety of a cage while also enjoying topside viewing from the boat. No scuba qualification is required, making the experience suitable for both divers and non-divers. Depending on conditions and recent sightings, guests may encounter species such as bronze whaler sharks, possible great white sharks, cow sharks, Cape fur seals, stingrays and other marine life.

Shark sightings are never guaranteed because these are wild animals in their natural environment, but guests will be advised honestly about recent sightings before the trip.
