Safety: All hikes are weather dependent. The guide may change the route, start time or cancel the hike if conditions are unsafe. Guests must advise fitness level, age group, medical conditions, fear of heights and any mobility concerns before booking.

Cape Town is one of the world's great hiking cities. Within thirty minutes of the V&A Waterfront you can be climbing Table Mountain via Platteklip Gorge, watching the sunrise from Lion's Head, traversing the indigenous forest of Skeleton Gorge or walking the Pipe Track beneath the Twelve Apostles. Our Cape Town hiking tours are designed around that natural advantage — short transfers, big payoffs and a local guide who knows the mountain in every season.
South African Adventures is a small family-run Cape Town tour operator. We run every hiking tour as a private experience for you and your party, with a private registered hiking guide, bottled water, trail snacks and hotel pickup within the central Cape Town pickup area. Larger groups are welcome — we arrange extra transport and guides as needed. Cableway tickets and entrance fees are paid separately.
Pair your hike with a Cape Point day tour, a Constantia wine tour or one of our adventure activities to build a complete Cape Town itinerary. If Table Mountain is your priority, read more about our guided Table Mountain hiking tours, or browse all day tours and our family team.
All bookings are handled directly by the owners — no call centre, no middlemen. WhatsApp us on +44 7478 051277 or use the enquiry form and our team will reply as soon as possible, or contact us.
