For just a few weeks each spring, South Africa's West Coast transforms. Hillsides of fynbos that look barren all year erupt into endless carpets of orange, yellow, white and purple wildflowers — one of the planet's most spectacular natural events. This SEASONAL private tour (AUGUST & SEPTEMBER ONLY) follows the West Coast National Park's famous flower route at peak bloom and ends with a long Atlantic seafood lunch in Paternoster.

Best time to visit
When to go
STRICTLY AUGUST & SEPTEMBER. Peak bloom typically falls between mid-August and mid-September; exact timing shifts each year with winter rainfall. Outside these months the West Coast National Park is beautiful but the flower carpets are not in bloom.
Best for: Photographers, nature lovers and travellers visiting Cape Town in late August or September who want the spring flower phenomenon done right.
Private group tour. Hotel pickup is included from selected areas. Lunch, entrance fees, activities and gratuity are excluded unless stated. Request an exact quote based on your group size.
Standard private full-day sightseeing tours: From R5,000 total for 1–2 guests, then +R1,000 for each additional guest up to 12 (R15,000). 13+ guests: enquire for quote. West Coast private tours use the same standard private full-day rate, plus R1,000 per additional guest through 12; 13+ by custom quotation. The long-distance Cape Agulhas private tour is priced separately from R6,500 total for 1–2 guests, with the same +R1,000 per additional guest. Half-day, specialist and third-party tours have separate rates.
