Big 5 in a single day — without the long-haul flight
Aquila is the closest Big 5 reserve to Cape Town. A full safari day combines the Aquila-operated game drive — a fully-guided drive in an open safari vehicle, with the buffet meal included in most Aquila day packages — and optional private return transport from Cape Town through the Hex River Valley, quoted separately. Beverages, optional activities and gratuities are excluded.
All animals at Aquila are free-roaming on 10,000 hectares of natural Karoo bush. Sightings are excellent and the reserve runs an active conservation programme protecting rhino from poaching.
