What this paddle is about
The Cape Point Kayaking Expedition is the bucket-list ocean adventure of the Cape Peninsula, run as a serious full-day expedition for experienced paddlers. From Buffels Bay we follow the dramatic cliffs of the Cape of Good Hope, rounding the lighthouse and pushing into the meeting of two oceans.
This is a full-day, advanced expedition supported by a fully-equipped van and ski trailer, with route options based on swell, wind and your group's experience.
Your day on the water
Early breakfast, expedition brief and shuttle to the launch beach. The first hour is a steady warm-up along the eastern cliffs.
Rounding the point itself is the highlight — towering cliffs above you, big-ocean swell rolling in from the Atlantic, and a sense of scale that's hard to put into words.
We finish with a relaxed paddle into a sheltered cove, recover the skis with the support trailer and shuttle back to Cape Town.
