What this paddle is about
Langebaan Lagoon kayaking is set on one of the most beautiful stretches of water in South Africa. The lagoon is flat, warm and protected, with turquoise water that wouldn't look out of place in the Caribbean.
It's ideal for first-time paddlers, families and travellers who want to learn the basics in a safe, scenic setting — or experienced paddlers looking for a long, peaceful glide.
Your day on the water
After a short ski fit and on-beach tuition, your guide leads you onto the lagoon for a balance and stroke session in flat water.
From there it's a relaxed paddle along the lagoon edge, with stops for swims and photos. Sunset paddles end with the western sky on fire over the water.
Family-friendly options include shorter loops with kid-sized skis and on-water support.
